Police in in Musashimurayama, Tokyo, have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of abandoning a body after he called 110 and said he had killed someone.
According to police, Kazuhide Owada called 110 at around 8 p.m. Friday and said “I killed someone a few days ago,” TV Asahi reported. When police officers arrived at the scene, they found the body of a man in his 20s in a van in the apartment building's parking lot. He was lying found face-down with stab wounds to his back and neck.
Police quoted Owada as saying, “He was my boss at the company, but we got into an argument over work-related matters and I ended up killing him.”
The two men reportedly lived together in the apartment. Owada is believed to have killed the victim on or around Feb 10 and placed the body in his van.

Yesterday I made a comment on the stabbings at the library, I said Japan has a mental health crises, but unfortunately the responses were about crime statistics. Once again overlooking the bigger issues of mental health!
It is sad to come to this news page and read about someone being murdered or stabbed almost on a daily basis now.

Good point raised about mental health.
I asked a cousin on my wife's side who is a psychiatrist about mental health in Japan as I often see elderly parents taking care of their mentally challenged adult children on trains.
Apparently, in Japanese culture, mental health care tends to rely on family members due to the strong social stigma attached to mental illness, the value of "shame" attached to relying on outside help. This leads to a growing tendency for families to keep problems bottled up within their own families.
The traditional "ie" system remains, the "in-home" logic that family illnesses and disabilities should be resolved within the home is deeply rooted, thus making it difficult psychologically to rely on welfare services or specialized institutions.
I think it's a cruel concept in Japanese culture but I can't change it. I just have much more respect for the elderly parents now when I see them.

Not every violent crime is the result of mental illness. Otherwise no one would ever be convicted of murder.

Sounds like a mentalist who had a row with the other chap and lost his temper.
He is very dangerous and must be locked up for life.
