A brand-name goods store in Umeda, Osaka, was broken into and robbed on Monday morning, with the thief getting away with dozens of items, including precious metals and bags.
According to police, a little after 5 a.m., a security company reported that a security sensor had been activated at the Brand Off Osaka Umeda store in Kita Ward, TV Asahi reported.
Police said the store's door window was smashed from the outside, and a display case inside the store was also smashed.
The store's security camera footage showed a person holding what appeared to be tools placing dozens of precious metals and brand-name bags from the display case into bags.
The individual was wearing a white jacket and dark pants.

I am surprised these kind of stores don't have polycarbonate panels instead of glass, it would seem to me this kind of quick break in would be something worth preventing. I guess insurance is just cheaper.
